Known issues / modification ideas
- TPS54160 [1.5 and below] only accepts 56V safely, for more input voltage, trace cut method must be implemented, see here
- SY8502 [2.1 and above] accepts up to 85V input, 65V safely
- TO220 MOSFET packages are poorly thermally connected to the case, see here for possible improvements
- B+ rail has poor electrical conductivity, see here for a fix
- Phase connectors are known to be improperly crimped, it’s advisable to solder wires directly and attach MT30 or MT60 for better contact
- Excessive braking current can burn MOSFET packages, due to active brake implementation
